Rakul Preet Singh is gearing up for an exciting new chapter in her career, and this time, she’s teaming up with none other than fashion legend Manish Malhotra. The actress has officially started costume trials for her upcoming film.

It was Manish Malhotra himself who gave fans the first peek. The designer shared a story on Instagram featuring Rakul, writing, “@rakulpreetsingh Costume trial. First film together.”

Rakul didn’t hold back her excitement either. Reposting Manish’s story, she wrote, “Yayyyyyy so so happpy to finally work on a film together… can’t wait to bring your magic to screen.”

For those who’ve followed her career, this busy slate is no surprise. Rakul’s journey began in 2009 with the Kannada film ‘Gilli’, and over the years she has built a strong presence in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi cinema. She’s earned a SIIMA Award and has been nominated multiple times for the prestigious Filmfare Awards South.

Her Telugu hits include ‘Venkatadri Express’, ‘Loukyam’, ‘Nannaku Prematho’, and ‘Rarandoi Veduka Chudham’, while big commercial successes like ‘Pandaga Chesko’, ‘Sarrainodu’, ‘Dhruva’, and ‘Spyder’ cemented her star power. In Tamil, she made waves with ‘Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru’ and the recent ‘Ayalaan’.

Rakul’s Bollywood journey started with ‘Yaariyan’ in 2014, but it was ‘De De Pyaar De’ in 2019 that truly boosted her visibility in Hindi cinema. She’s since been part of diverse projects like ‘Runway 34’ and ‘Doctor G’.
